Richard Teufel founded the company in 1975 as an individual enterprise with its company site in Munich-Oberfoehring. In 1981 the enterprise was transformed into a company with limited liability. Due to the growing production TEUFELBESCHLAG moved its company site to Germering in 1982 and again in 1991 to Tuerkenfeld, 40km west of Munich.
